THE ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY AND MUSEUM

On Saturday, January 6, 2007, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, situated in downtown Springfield, Illinois, welcomed its one millionth visitor – Craig Schone, a farmer from Chapin. Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, who helped develop the project, was on hand. He said, "It really is amazing that in this corner of Mr. Lincoln's hometown we have the most popular presidential library in the history of America, I've yet to meet a single person who's gone through those turnstiles who hasn't said, 'It was great, and I can't wait to go back.'"

The 200,000 square foot complex, which includes an Archive, Library and Museum, features public experiences, galleries and theater presentations that are more than 50% larger than any other presidential library. It is the best-attended Presidential Library in America.

THE LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL MUSEUM

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum is considered to be the first major Experience Museum. Designed, created and produced by BRC Imagination Arts, the museum combines priceless historical artifacts with BRC's innovative, contemporary storytelling technologies. Visitors are offered an engaging, emotional and educational experience through immersive, "you-are-there" exhibits.
